Breast Cancer Event in July
Hello Doctors,
July 27 - 29, 2007 I will be organizing an event, in concert with the RI Cancer Council, in my hometown of Foster, RI. The purpose of the event is to educate local women about breast cancer. The event is scheduled to take place at our biggest annual town event, The Foster Old Home Days. Foster Old Home Days attracts people from RI, MA and CT.
Foster Old Home Days is a genuine country style festival with 4-H animals, live music, food, horse shows, tractor pulls...all the country charm you can imagine! We have a very large turn out for this fun three-day event.
I am looking for a few doctors that might volunteer two-three hours each to sit at my booth and answer questions women may have about breast cancer. Even if you can come and volunteer for one hour it would be appreciated. The RI Cancer Council is donating everything they can, but is not able to provide any staff.
If you think you might be able to help, or have any suggestions that might make my event more successful, please send me an email at info@riafp.org
Thanks!
Kim McHale
Executive Director
