Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine
Attending Physician in the Hasbro Children's Hospital Emergency Department
There is a myriad of "stuff" commonly found in the average home that could seriously injure or kill a toddler. There are also many substances that teens use to "amuse" themselves which may also prove to be lethal.
When: Friday, June 8th, 2007
Where: Hasbro Hospital, Collis Room
Time: 7:30-8:15 a.m.
Family Medicine Grand Rounds is divided into two, fast-paced, 20 minute sessions (7:30-7:50, 7:55-8:15) with time for discussion at the end. Through Family Medicine Grand Rounds, family physicians will be made aware of relevant issues and cutting edge technologies that they can then integrate into their treatment repertoire. Specialists are asked to present evidence-based key concepts in their area of expertise, and offer brief analysis of the relevance of new technologies and techniques for primary care physicians admitting patients to Rhode Island and The Miriam Hospitals.
Rhode Island Hospital fully intends to comply with the legal requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. If any participant of this conference is in need of accommodation, please contact the Rhode Island Hospital CME office at 444-4260.

You Asked For It!
I have received several requests from members for a blog, or forum, that RIAFP members can use to communicate online. This is better than a list serve because you can easily view all comments and it is real time.
We now have an online forum: RIAFP Online. You'll need to sign in with a Google Account to confirm the invitation below and start posting to this blog. If you don't have a Google Account yet, the site shows you how to get one in minutes.
To get to the blog follow this link:

Final Call for the Survey
This is a last call of sorts for the 10 question member survey I put together. Thanks to those of you who have already weighed in. I'll be putting all of the information I received together and getting the results to you in the coming weeks.
Before I close the survey, I'd like to offer you one last chance to have your say. As promised earlier, the survey takes literally 2 minutes to complete and can be accessed by following this link:

Thanks again for your help~
Kim
